Abbi is a Lead Stylist. Lead Stylists are experienced hairstylists who are continually in high demand.

Bio:

Before beginning to work at Ginger & Maude^®, Abbi had explored many paths, most of which had nothing to do with hair or working in the beauty industry. Although she had always wanted to do hair and makeup, she went to the University of Oregon and received a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities. After teaching preschool for a year, she realized all she ever thought about other than work was doing hair. So, she started school at the Aveda Institute Portland and became licensed in October 2019.

Upon learning about Ginger & Maude^®, Abbi was in love with the salon after her first job shadow at the Fremont location. A strong emphasis on education as well as environmental and community responsibility were really important to her and Ginger & Maude ticked both of those boxes, plus more! 

Behind the chair, Abbi loves hair cutting. Pixie cuts and short styles are near and dear to her heart, but she also loves crisp bobs, textured lobs, shags, the occasional fashion mullet, and classic styles like long layers and effortless movement. She likes to use a mix of tools, such as shears and a razor to create these cuts. Abbi also really enjoys handpainting balayage highlights, too!

When she's not at the salon, you can find Abbi hanging out with her husband, Chris, and their orange tabby cat Fiona (A.K.A. Cinnamon Apple Muffin). She also enjoys drinking way too much coffee, needlepoint crafts, eating lots of salty snacks (Fritos Honey BBQ Twists are everything), watching spooky ghost movies, and buying bath products.
