Kailyn is a New Talent. New Talents are licensed hairstylists who have completed at least the first half of our apprenticeship program. They only offer services for which they have been fully trained. To support Kailyn's growth, we take before & after photos of your hair at each appointment (no faces, internal use only).

Bio:

Kailyn has always loved the creative side of things—whether it be doodling during class or crocheting on a rainy day, they’re here for it. It was only a natural progression to make their way into the world of hair. After a two-year stint at college for zoology and deciding it wasn’t for them, Kailyn attended the Aveda Institute of Portland and graduated in June of 2025, joining the Apprenticeship Program at Ginger & Maude^® Hair Salon shortly after. 

Behind the chair, Kailyn loves creating personalized color that fits their clients' lifestyles while keeping the clients' hair integrity in mind and thoroughly enjoys making their chair a space for anyone and everyone to feel comfortable being themselves in. 

Outside of the salon, they can be found watching the latest horror movies, listening to a truly heinous amount of musicals (enough that even their middle-school self would balk at), or eating yet another sweet treat.
