Macie is a New Talent. New Talents are licensed hairstylists that have completed at least the first half of our apprenticeship program. They only offer services for which they have been fully trained.

Macie is a passionate hairstylist who thrives on creativity, connection, and helping people feel their best. Though beauty school wasn't originally on her radar, her mom (after seeing a rainbow of hair dye stains in the shower) gave her the nudge to pursue it professionally—and she's never looked back. After years of doing friends' prom hair and experimenting with color at home, Macie officially began her journey at the Aveda Institute in Portland, graduating in early 2020.

She believes hair is a form of self-expression and loves bringing each client's vision to life—whether it's a bold transformation or a subtle refresh. With a strong eye for detail and a warm, welcoming vibe, Macie customizes an experience at the Ginger & Maude^® Hair Salon in Tigard that's both fun and empowering.

Outside the salon, Macie is a self-proclaimed craft nerd who loves to crochet, paint, draw, and bullet journal. She's a big fan of karaoke nights, party games with friends, and curling up with a good book or movie alongside her chaotic (but lovable) black cat, Merlin. (Yes, she's a fantasy book nerd—bonus points if there's magic, dragons, or a morally questionable heroine involved.) She's also just getting into line dancing, hosts Netflix parties with friends, and firmly believes an iced caramel latte with oat milk from Insomnia is the superior drink of choice.
