Michelle is a New Talent. New Talents are licensed hairstylists who have completed at least the first half of our apprenticeship program. They only offer services for which they have been fully trained. To support Michelle's growth, we take before & after photos of your hair at each appointment (no faces, internal use only).

Bio: 

Michelle has always enjoyed the art of hair and beauty, ever since she was young. Growing up in an immigrant household, she always had the drive to succeed and forge a better life for herself and her family. She graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, which she used to work in the medical field for several years, helping those in need. In 2024, she made the switch to Hair Design, driven by her combined passions for helping others, beauty, and the science of hair. She graduated from Aveda Institute of Portland in 2025 and joined the Ginger & Maude^® Hair Salon Apprenticeship Program soon after to continue her journey as a stylist. 

Michelle was born and raised in Portland, with many trips to her family in Romania sprinkled in throughout her childhood. She loves reading and gaming, anything that lets her immerse herself in a different and fantastical world. Michelle is also a huge foodie, and Portland has been the perfect place for her to indulge in different cuisines and cultures from the plethora of restaurants throughout the city.
