Robin is a Lead Stylist. Lead Stylists are experienced hairstylists who are continually in high demand.

Bio:

Robin floated down from Alaska in 2016, tumbled around in the Central Oregon desert for a year, and eventually landed in Portland, Oregon, in the summer of 2017.

Behind the chair, Robin delights in creating natural colors and elegant shapes; customized styles for the client who loves to feel beautiful in an effortless seeming way. She loves to bring life into hair.  Currently, her favorite methods include babylights, all-over color, haircuts with long, flowing layers, and short, edgy cuts.

She’s walked many paths in this life, has several skill sets, and always lands on her feet! From slinging drinks in fisherman bars to pouring lattes, stomping the streets in drag, working on seaplanes (fierce, we know), or even some light carpentry, this chick has been around the coop!

At some point, Robin decided it was time to choose a career. Something consistent, creative, challenging enough to keep her attention. So, in the Fall of 2019, she followed in her mother’s (and grandmother’s!) footsteps and marched her lil butt into the nearest beauty school. Since then, she has found her home at Ginger & Maude Hair Salon, honing a broader set of skills and enjoying incredible relationships with clients and coworkers alike.

She brings a certain sense of “Wow, you look incredible—did you do something different? I can’t put my finger on it...” to the table. Perhaps even “You’re glowing! What’s your secret, diva?” Or maybe “Somebody fell out of the gorgeous tree and hit every branch on the way down!”

A personal note from Robin: “I have found that nothing in this career makes me happier than knowing a client has left the salon feeling refreshed, relaxed, and beautiful. I do my best to show up for my clients in any way they need, while maintaining an authentic and fun relationship. This has led to many lasting connections, and I feel a mutual excitement each time my clients return. Whether it’s to catch up, chill out, laugh, cry, or just to help folks feel a bit better in their skin. Getting to see the people I enjoy when I step into the salon makes this slice of life feel pretty dang lovely!”
