If you’re craving a new hairstyle but you’re not exactly sure what you’d like, here’s a list of some of our most frequently requested (and for good reason!) hairstyles to help get you started.
Bob:
A timeless classic, the bob is a versatile haircut that works well for a variety of hair types, face shapes, and styles. From blunt to textured, layered to asymmetrical, French to Italian, and even bixies (bob-pixies) to lobs (long bob), there is truly a bob haircut style to fit every personality.
Pixie:
If you raise your hand for short and chic, the pixie haircut might be for you. Typically cut shorter on the sides and back with longer layers on top, the pixie is another haircut that can be executed in a number of ways to suit many different hair textures and thicknesses, face shapes, and styles.
Shag:
The shag is a haircut with layers that start short and get gradually longer, textured ends, and feathered, face-framing bangs. The effect is movement and volume, with an overall face-softening and effortlessly cool, shaggy appearance. This haircut is ideal for folks with wavy hair and works great for curls as well.
Mullet:
Business in the front, party in the back, excellent style all around. The mullet haircut is one defined by extreme contrast, with the top, front, and sides cropped shorter and the back left long. Keep it classic, make it modern, wear it shaggy, buzz the top or sides (or both for a skullet)... The mullet is an adaptable style that has shown itself to be well suited to recreation and reimagining.
Butterfly:
The butterfly haircut is known for being very layered, starting with shorter face-framing pieces around the chin/jaw and moving into longer layers beneath, creating a look reminiscent of butterfly wings when styled, with a lot of natural volume and movement within the hair. It’s a great way to add dimension without sacrificing length, and we love that it can work well on nearly anyone.
Long layers:
A long layered haircut can add movement, volume, and shape into long hair that’s feeling a little flat. The beauty of this style is the versatility of the layers—they can be subtle or dramatic, feathery or more blunt, only at the ends or starting higher up. You can really customize it to work for your hair and your lifestyle.
