All people are welcomed and celebrated in Ginger & Maude Hair Salons, and our stylists are trained to work with all hair types so that any person—whether their hair is straight, wavy, curly, or coily; fine or coarse; thick or thin—can walk in feeling confident they will be cared for.

Asking permission before using product
Different products work for different people. Whether this has to do with smell, texture, or just not wanting anything in their hair, we respect our clients’ right to make the best choice for them.

Checking in before giving a head massage
Some days a massage sounds amazing and some days a massage sounds like the absolute worst. We understand both sides. That’s why we’ll always check in beforehand. However a client is feeling, it’s more than okay and we’re happy to honor it.

Using size-inclusive capes and chairs
Everybody and every body should feel comfortable during their hair appointment. Size-inclusive chairs and custom-designed capes ensure all body types feel seen and valued in our salons.

Encouraging open communication throughout the service
Hair appointments are a collaborative effort, and they turn out best when everyone’s voices are heard. If something needs to be adjusted or isn’t quite working, we want to know!
