At Ginger & Maude Hair Salons, “purpose-driven” isn’t a buzzword, it’s a business practice. We don’t just love hair, we love people, and even more than that, we love supporting people. We show up for the communities we serve—in dollars, hours, and heart.
Here are the organizations we’ve supported so far this year:
Ginger & Maude Hair Salons in Portland
Two cash donations of $500 each to Immigration Counseling Service (ICS), the oldest independent nonprofit immigration law firm in Oregon, which has offices in Portland and Hood River, to support their mission of achieving “equity and justice for immigrants and their families by providing accessible services to uphold their legal rights.”
Cash donation of $500 to Latino Network—a Portland-based, Latine-led organization grounded in culturally-specific practices and services—in support of their Economic Justice program, which works to ensure that families have access to housing security, energy assistance, and job placement. Guided by their core values of accountability, culture, collaboration, education, self-determination, and social justice, their work and programs “provide transformative opportunities, services, and advocacy for our youth, families, and communities' education, leadership, and civic engagement.”
Cash donation of $500 and volunteering providing haircuts at New Avenues for Youth, a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness.
Cash donation of $1000 to Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI), a Portland-based nonprofit founded on the principles of integrity and respect and dedicated to supporting and empowering underserved youth and building community by working with schools, families, and partner community organizations to provide education, housing, and opportunities.
Cash donation of $500 and volunteering providing haircuts at Rose Haven, “the only day shelter and community center specifically serving women, children, and gender-diverse people in Portland. As night shelters are at capacity, our low-barrier drop-in model bridges the gaps in services. For many women and children, we are the first step in asking for help and starting to heal."
Gift card donation to Kinship House, a nonprofit organization with a mission “to provide therapy and advocacy for children experiencing foster care and adoption” and supporting “them as they work through trauma, connect with safe adults, and build stable futures.”
Gift card donation to SMART Reading, a nonprofit who is on a mission "to spark joy and opportunity through the magic of a shared book" with a vision for "an Oregon where all children can realize their full potential through reading." They help young children become strong, confident readers by providing books and volunteer reading support.
Gift card donation to OHSU’s Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic, a nonprofit clinic led by a community of medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and public health students with a mission to “engage vulnerable populations by providing low-barrier, participant-centered care and services in the Portland Metro area.”
Gift card donation to Village Preschool of Portland, a nonprofit school near our Multnomah Village salon.
Gift card donation to Montclair Elementary School, a public school near our Multnomah Village salon.
Gift card donation to Hayhurst Elementary School, a public school near our Multnomah Village salon.
Gift card donation to Champions at Capitol Hill Elementary School, a public school near our Multnomah Village salon.
Gift card donation to Beach School, a public school near our Fremont salon.
Gift card donation to Harriet Tubman Middle School, a public school near our Fremont salon.

Ginger & Maude Hair Salon in Tigard
Cash donation of $250 to Adelante Mujeres, who provides "holistic education and empowerment opportunities to marginalized Latina women and families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community,” to support immigration detention relief for families.
Gift basket donation worth $125 to a fundraising auction put on by Good Neighbor Center, which provides emergency shelter and supportive housing services for families experiencing housing instability in Washington County.
Gift basket donation worth $250 to the Beaverton Woman's Club’s 2026 Annual Bingo Fundraiser to support nonprofits in Washington County and a scholarship program for single-parents going to Portland Community College (PCC).
Two sponsorships of $250 each to Westside Acrobatics and Tumbling Booster Club (WATBC), the only competitive Acrobatics and Tumbling team in the state of Oregon. They are also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission "to make acrobatics and tumbling accessible to all children, regardless of economic background or cultural identity," and a primary goal to "eliminate travel as a barrier to competitive gymnastics participation, ensuring all qualified athletes can access the full educational and developmental benefits of competitive travel experiences."
Gift basket donation worth $140 to the Tigard Playschool's, a cooperative preschool and 501(c)(3) nonprofit, fundraising auction.
Cash donation of $225 to Community Action who, for 60 years, has served the residents of Washington County by providing holistic services and helping to “address and alleviate the symptoms of poverty by fostering a more connected and resilient community.”
Sponsorship of $150 to Tigard’s Shining Star Community Awards event along with a gift basket donation worth $130 for their auction.
Gift basket donation worth $155 to a fundraiser for Southridge High School Baseball, a public school near the Ginger & Maude in Tigard.
