People are at the heart of what we do, and it’s important to us that each and every person who walks through our doors knows that they matter, that they are valued, and that they are in a safe, judgement-free space. Here are a few of the ways we do that:
We offer haircut services for all hair types.
All ages, all genders, all hair types and textures—that is who our haircuts are designed for. We have a gender-neutral pricing structure and an amazing group of stylists from varied backgrounds who are skilled in providing everything from curly and coily haircuts, shags and layers, pixies and elf crops, classic cuts, bobs and lobs, curtain bangs, clipper cuts, and more.
We prioritize body inclusivity.
Going to the hair salon should be a relaxing, comfortable experience. That’s why all of our salons utilize size-inclusive robes and chairs. Additionally, our Slabtown, Multnomah Village, and Sellwood locations are all fully wheelchair accessible. (The Ginger & Maude in Tigard is accessible for services, but please note the bathroom is not accessible.)
We have service options to meet your needs.
We pride ourselves on being a space where folks can show up as their true, authentic self. Some people don’t like chatting. Some people dread having to stare at themselves in the mirror. That’s totally fine! We think having to grit your teeth and bare it is an awful way to spend a salon visit, and we hate the idea of someone avoiding getting their hair done because they don’t think they have an option. Our service options allow folks to book the service that feels best for them. If you don’t want to talk, our Silent Service was designed for you. If you’d rather not face the mirror, select the Mirrorless Service option during booking.
