Have you met Kailyn (she/they) yet? They love creating personalized color that fits their clients' lifestyles and prioritizes hair integrity and making their chair a space for anyone and everyone to feel comfortable being themselves in. They’re also a pro when it comes to styling curly bangs. Today, they’re showing us how to do it too!

You’ll need:
-Spray water bottle (if bangs are not already wet)
-KEVIN.MURPHY KILLER.CURLS (a curl-defining creme that is also a heat protectant, so great for one-product styling)
-Brush (Kailyn says a Tangle Teezer (used in video), Denman, or Bounce Curl’s Define EdgeLift are all great options)
-Hair dryer with diffuser attachment


How to do it:

  1. Ensure bangs are wet—wet hair receives moisture better, especially curls!
  2. Rake a small amount of KILLER.CURLS through your bangs. (Pro tip: a little goes a long way).
  3. Use your favorite styling brush to brush through. Remember: Tension is your friend, and going slow to ensure the curls clump is always a good idea.
  4. Gently shake the curls so they return to their natural state.
  5. With your hair dryer, hover diffuse until 80-90% dry. If you like a bit of shrinkage, you can scrunch your curls up into the diffuser until fully dry.
  6. Finally, use your pincher fingers to separate each clump of curls carefully and place them where you want them to sit. All done!
