The truth: Services like Balayage and Foilyage can be great options for a low-maintenance coloring schedule because they tend to have a softer grow-out.
Michelle says: “While it is a common myth that all hair coloring services require frequent trips to the salon, and thus, can be very costly, the truth is that services like Balayage and Foilyage are incredibly customizable and can allow for a lot of flexibility in between services. With a Foilyage service especially, any goal is achievable, including brightness, dimension, or a seamless grow-out.
“The way I like to think about these services is their cost-per-wear. The upfront cost can be a little higher than a traditional highlight service, but long-term, it can actually be less expensive because of the low-maintenance upkeep schedule.
